Never before have so many dressage riders wanted to ride at Jumping Mechelen.
On 28 and 29 December, the FEI Dressage World Cup is on the program at Jumping Mechelen. And it’s not only dressage enthusiasts who would not want to miss this event. Many international top riders had this competition high on their wish list. Jeroen Van Lent has never seen so many requests coming in: “The Belgian team, like a number of other fortunate countries, already has a ticket to the Olympic Games. However, there are still a few individual spots up for grabs. And our competition is the very last one where you can gather points for that. Singapore, India… we received requests from all over the world this year.”
Among them were many international superstars. For example, the current World and European Champion Charlotte Fry (GBR) will participate And of course, our Dutch neighbours are also sending some top riders once again. In fact, the past three years have seen the FEI Dressage World Cup won by a Dutch rider. It’s up to Marlies Van Baalen and Thamar Zweistra to continue this winning streak.
