For 40 years, the Nekkerhal has been the beating heart of Jumping Mechelen, a festive tradition that brings thousands of horse lovers together between Christmas and New Year. Over the years, our event has grown into a major international highlight, but we are far from the only ones who call this venue home. Dozens of events take place here every year and attract thousands of visitors to Mechelen.
The planned demolition of the Nekkerhal would be a major blow for us and for the entire city. The economic impact of this venue is significant. Hotels, restaurants, shops and suppliers all benefit from the activity that takes place here.
