Vet check!

Did you know that all horses and ponies participating in international competitions are thoroughly checked by specialist vets?

On arrival, they have their temperature taken and they are immediately examined. If they have a fever or don’t look well they are immediately isolated and treated.
Before they participate, they undergo another detailed check in which they have to trot in a straight line, for example. Before they take part, they undergo a more detailed vet check which includes trotting in a straight line.

This way, we can be 100% sure that all international horses and ponies are completely “fit to compete”.
