Many breeders found their way to the Nekkerhal today, because the stallion competitions are the perfect moment to find some new inspiration for the upcoming breeding season. You can say a lot about the bloodlines of the 12 participants of the Zangersheide competition for 7 year old stallions. But the one from winner Petrossian BC is really catching the eye. Who’s the most legendary, mother Sapphire (fokkerij ’t Merelsnest | McLain Ward) or father For Pleasure (Marcus Ehning), is actually a useless question. Both won two times Olympic team-gold. And apparently the apple never falls far from the tree. Petrossian BC has already shown a lot at the age of 7.
Rider Jeroen De Winter is happy: “Petrossian came to me as a 5-year old. He was born at Blue Chip Bloodstock, an ambitious horsebreeder from New York that breeds BWP horses. In the US talented stallions like Petrossian have less chances to make it to the top. That’s why they came to us here in Belgium..”
Petrossian not only has the genes, but also the talent and mentality to make it in the sport. Jeroen: “He’s a very sweet horse, one that’s always honest and tries his best. Above that he carries himself well, is forward-thinking and remarkably handy when it comes to turning..”
Petriossian BC is available with fresh semen at Stal Netehof.
