Once again this year, Jumping Mechelen offers an unforgettable day for young and old alike. As always on December 26th, JM Kids Day promises a full day of action, festive fun, and surprises. A spectacular opening show featuring adorable ponies, agile dogs, breathtaking action and Santa Claus as guest of honour — the perfect start to a sparkling day for young horse lovers and their families.

As always, the Nekkerhal will be transformed into a buzzing pony park, with side activities, demonstrations, pony rides, and a few surprises you’ll have to discover on the spot. Another highlight? The meet and greets with #LikeMe. A unique chance to meet your idols up close! The start of Vlaanderens Kerstjumping will be one you won’t want to miss.

#LikeMe On Tour brings a dazzling live show

The evening programme on 26 December has been given a whole new look. But the winning formula of the JM Kids Day earlier that day, remains untouched, says Clement Schiettecatte: “Together with Julie Wauters, who is gradually taking over the organisation of the opening day from me, we’ve added a few exciting new elements to the mix.”

This year’s main act is #LikeMe On Tour, taking the stage with a brand new cast. The popular Ketnet series #LikeMe tells the story of Mia and her friends at the SAK school in Middelkerke. It quickly became a favourite among all ages, thanks to its compelling storytelling and iconic Dutch pop hits, each given a fresh, modern twist in every episode. Mia, Oscar, Louise, Sem, Raoul and Jules will perform twice in one day, accompanied by their dancers, and will also make time for two meet and greets. Fans can also visit the exclusive merchandise booth.

#LikeMe headlined the JM Kids Day twice before with their previous cast, and both editions sold out in no time. Now that the new cast is more popular than ever, the organisation is expecting another rush for tickets this year.

Julie reveals what els is new this year: “We want children and their (grand)parents to truly experience the magic of equestrian sport — a mix of action, competition, music, and even a hint of wonder. Alongside favourites like the mini steeple and Santa Claus, we’re adding some spectacular new acts, including horse boarding, exciting dog agility, and the enchanting show ‘Dance with Me’ by Alizée Froment, who is internationally renowned for her harmonious performances with horses.”
